Senior superintendent of police SSP Hardial Singh Mann told reporters at a press conference that police had cracked a blind murder case of a Jaswinder Singh, which was lodged by the Haryana police at the Siwan police station. Similarly, police claimed to have solved the murder case of a Gurbhej Singh, which was registered at the Ghagga police station. While investigating the case, police arrested Pal Singh of Sodhiwala Ugoke and during preliminary investigation the accused purportedly confessed to have committed the crime, said the SSP.

It was found that Gurbhej was a caretaker of the Sodhiwal family and was looking after the house and legal matters of the family since He was loyal towards the Sodhiwal family. Pal Singh had taken a acre premises from the Sidhuwal family on a lease 25 years back, but allegedly refused to hand over the possession to the owners.
